Lagoa

Lagoa – Porches – Silves – Estômbar – Benagila

The pleasant inland town of Lagoa is the wine capital of the Algarve. Take a walk through the old streets and visit the traditional fresh fish market, restaurants, and shops.

Porches

A small village close to Lagoa and is renowned for its pottery by the Swift family. It’s worth a visit to observe the artists as they decorate each item.

Silves

Makes a fabulous day out to visit the historic town with its ancient Moorish castle. It’s located on a hill among the peach, almond and orange trees. In its heyday, it was a larger and more powerful city than Lisbon itself. In those days Silves was a port trading in figs and timber from Monchique.

Estômbar

Typical Algarvean village with its narrow winding streets and nearby the Sitio das Fontes a great place to refresh yourself in its clear serene waters, in the restored tide mill.

Benagil

A small fishing village with six restaurants and a beautiful sandy beach. The main attraction is to take a boat trip to explore the famous caves, plus you can enjoy a fantastic walk along the cliff tops with breathtaking views.
